Hal Burg, an innovator in branded entertainment and content marketing, has developed groundbreaking, cross-platform campaigns for consumer brands for more than 15 years. A Cum Laude graduate of The George Washington University, Burg majored in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management, with a secondary focus in Exercise Science. Like many Hollywood success stories, Burg’s career began in the mailroom of a talent agency before stints in interactive marketing and the comic book industry led him into the product placement business.
Burg launched the branded entertainment department at Platinum Rye in September 2008. He built the division from the ground up, developing and executing programs for blue chip and Fortune 500 brands, including Best Buy, Chase, H-P, Microsoft, Mondelēz, Pepsi and P&G. In 2015, Burg joined Engine Shop and runs the agency’s entertainment and content vertical, overseeing entertainment marketing strategies for Mercedes-Benz, Dave & Buster’s, Greyhound Bus Lines and MovieTickets.com, among others.
